The Triskalia producer organisation represents a partnership between the cattle farmers and the co-operative. The farmers are committed to contributing a certain level of production. In return, the organisation takes care of the sales outlets and guarantees prices by way of structured processes. In addition to technical support and regular economic and statutory updates, the organisation offers considerable means that enable members to take advantage of the national and regional aids that they are eligible for.

The Triskalia cattle producer organisation is intensifying its quality strategy yet again with its Socopa national partnership. In particular, the "Terres de viande" partnership is a means for developing new approaches to quality.

One of the producer organisation's priorities is to add to the quality systems that have already been in operation for several years now: i.e. "label" standards such as Limousin, Blonde d'Aquitaine and Charolais, or the certified quality procedures "Charolais" and "Qualité Normandes" with Carrefour.

1,100 production-contracted farmers including 460 dairy cow producers.
2,500 cattle suppliers.

Being the biggest shareholder in Socopa, Triskalia has entrusted all the processing and distribution operations to the group, which is the French leader in meat. This strategy revolves around the Valtero meat brand.

The watchwords for our processing factories are quality, food safety and innovation. These demands require quality certification systems to be implemented (such as ISO 9002) and the systematic localisation and control of health risks in our production processes. Equipped with testing laboratories and backed up by an internal quality department, these factories, which are open to clients and to suppliers, today prove that traceability is a reality.

Socopa handles all types of distribution and covers all the fresh, ultra-fresh and frozen food markets, both nationally and internationally.

At the end of 2001, Socopa launched the Valtéro brand. This brand efficiently demonstrates the efforts made by farmers in the quality sector. Valtéro helps to improve the image of both the meat and the farmers. For the farmers, the brand also represents a promise of better results. These products, boosted by the brand name, represent the end-products of our members and place the spotlight on all the work carried out by the entire production chain..
